My name is Hollie Williams -Richardson and I am from the UK. I studied Tourism Management at Surrey University and have been fortunate enough to have spent 5 out of the 6 years of my working life since leaving Uni at splendid Hospitality Group. is truly in my blood.

So, a bit about me… I joined Splendid in 2012 as part of the opening team for Intercontinental London Westminster now (Conrad St James), Splendid’s first 5-Star hotel in London – what an experience. This was the first hotel I had ever worked in and this is where I caught the hospitality bug.

The culture at Splendid is fantastic, you truly get the family feeling that they pride themselves on. There’s a huge drive to develop their team and this is something that I have always experienced first-hand – nearly 5 years later, I’m still here and this is due the fun, support and development I get from the team I work with… let’s face it, the people you work with can make an enormous difference and my team are lovely.

I’ve done every working pattern you can think of coming from operations based on property and doing days, nights, early and late shifts, to now, being part of the People Team working Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30. It is a broad experience that you wouldn’t get in most places of work.

A bit more about me…I love food!! I can’t think of anything better than exploring new restaurants and fun places to chill. I enjoy this most with my husband, family and friends!! I also love live comedy, any opportunity to laugh I’m there. The best lesson anyone has ever taught me is… Always maintain your independence!

To wrap this up, if you have never worked in hospitality you must give it a go, the opportunities are endless. If you have worked in hospitality but looking for a sense of belonging rather than a huge company where sometimes you are just a number, then Splendid might just be what you have been looking for!
