Due to the £15M expansion programme we are now looking for a Assistant Director of Sales to join our team!

As Assistant Director of Sales you will support the Director of Sales in pro-actively driving new business to the hotel with overall accountability for meeting and event sales. Responsible for a team of 6 with 3 direct reports including Events Manager, Sales Researcher and Sales Coordinator.
The role will be predominantly field based targeting new business, prospecting and qualifying new leads and find new opportunities through telephone and face to face sales calls. You will be expected to create, and implement, an effective sales plan to support the overall commercial strategy.
As Assistant Director of Sales your direct reports will include an Events Manager, Sales Researcher and Sales Coordinator, where you will coach and develop, conduct 1:1s, setting objectives and ensure they are commercially focussed.
The overall “role purpose” is to achieve a consistent pipeline of M&E sales opportunities which converts quickly and at the desired conversion rate. You will be an ambassador of The Grands status as “A Palace of Business” and will spend 70% of your time out of the hotel both regionally and nationally.
As Assistant Director of Sales you will also be required to support and step in for the Director of Sales at senior management meetings and events.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience of Opera and Salesforce preferred, however not essential.
A background of luxury hotel sales would be advantageous.
