A major £12.5m refurbishment project at the 336-bedroom Holiday Inn London – Wembley, has recently been completed including the hotel’s striking Empire Suite. This highly versatile space is licensed for civil ceremonies and offers bespoke Indian catering making it a sought after venue for Asian weddings and celebrations. The hotel has a selection of spacious and well-appointed guest rooms including the Arch Restaurant and Bar.

We are now looking for a Chef to join the team at Holiday Inn Wembley.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that a high standard of preparations and presentation is achieved before any dish leaves the kitchen

Check kitchen stock and control on a daily basis

Ensure accurate records are kept at all times relating to the food production and wastage, for all service periods

Ensure that all foods are labelled, stored and handled in accordance with the Hotel and Health and Safety requirements

Ensure all hygiene, health and safety standards are adhered to and the Hotel’s Health & Safety policy are complied with

Make sure the wastage is kept to a minimum at all times

Menus must be followed to ensure all financial targets are achieved

Be constantly aware of new ideas and create new dishes in the F & B outlet

Maintain a high standard of discipline to reduce waste and accidents

Adhere to all the company's procedure on health, safety and hygiene

Attend any internal or external courses that management may deem beneficial

Attend departmental meetings

Complete all required training (Food Hygiene & Safety, Health & Safety & Fire Safety) via the Saeker Training Programme 

Person Specification

1.  Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Career motivated.
  • Strong customer awareness and focus.
  • Able to work flexibly to suit the hours (various shift patterns) & needs of the Kitchen.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with team and customers.
  • Ability to work and interact well as part of a team.
  • Sound organisational skills with the ability to identify and juggle priorities.

2.  Proven experience/education level

  • Previous kitchen experience is preferable
