Who are we looking for?

We are looking for both full time and part time Team Members to work in our amazing food and beverage operations. The Grand has a number of outlets, from a contemporary all day dining restaurant, The Rise, our heritage 1906 bar through to our lively terrace and courtyard. What is the most important is that you are passionate about food and beverage, and even more so about guest service and want to do your part in making every guest stay at The Grand an unforgettable experience! This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys the interaction with guests and wants to keep learning about both food and drinks.

Prior restaurant / bar / hotel / hospitality experience is an advantage; a great friendly manner and confidence when dealing with people is a must!

Your role in our family:

Our team are the heart and soul of The Grand, without them The Grand is just a beautiful building. We pride ourselves on the warmth of our Yorkshire welcome that each one of our guests receive. As a F&B Associate, key to your role is consistently delivering an exceptional level of service through a relaxed and professional approach. To be successful within this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

A passion for all things food and beverage, as well as for guest service.
Being an avid team player.
Hold the ability to work independently, making decisions where necessary.
Strong communication skills, the ability to build a rapport with team members and guests alike.
Willingness to build product knowledge.
Confidence in food and beverage recommendations.
Maintaining health and safety, and hygiene standards.
Keep on top of stock.
Eager to be cross-trained, and happy to assist in adjacent departments such as our bars, or In Room Dining team.
Usual floor tending responsibilities including clearing and setting tables, taking orders and running food and drinks.
Prepared to work in a bustling, fast-paced environment.
