General Hotel Manager

General Manager, Holiday Inn Northampton West

Salary: c. £40,000 - £45,000

As General Manager you’ll provide day-to-day leadership and direction by maximizing financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community.

Aside from the Open Lobby, the Northampton hotel has 66 modern guest bedrooms and 3 large function rooms, perfect for meetings and events.

Your role in our family:

Key responsibilities to your role: 

  • To ensure consistent and predictable bottom line results for the hotel through exemplary cost control;
  • To ensure the hotel has the right people, in the right place at the right time as demonstrated by a fully compliant People Balance Scorecard;
  • To run a responsible business as demonstrated by full compliance with external legislative and statutory requirements as well as internal operational control checks
  • To deliver unidentified needs and create evangelism resulting in all green winning metrics and/or above target Trustyou scores
  • To run a responsible business delivering expected audit results as well as actively engaging in the community.

  • Experience in implementation of departmental budgets and take responsibility for the delivery of targets set
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of hotel IT systems, PMS & POS, as well as revenue extranet and channel manager applications
  • Previous experience in Health & Safety, Fire Safety
