Position Purpose

  • You will be responsible for the strategic planning, overseeing and the execution of all Marketing and Communications across the Splendid Hospitality Group to enhance the reputation of our organisation internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage individual hotel marketing plans
  • Manage monthly business review reports on marketing for each hotel.
  • Development and execution of multiple marketing campaigns, promotions and channel activation 
  • Lead, manage and develop the Communications Team
  • Manage, develop and oversee the groups communications ensuring associated budgets are planned, followed and maintained.
  • Work closely with hotel management and senior management to deliver communications/marketing strategies which support and enhance their activities.
  • Lead on all key reputation PR issues working closely with the CEO
  • Work closely other teams to provide marketing support
  • Develop and implement the brand and ensure the brand guidelines are adhered to at all times
  • Manage the design and print of all printed materials, media bookings, external agencies
  • Enable effective internal communications
  • Develop key media relationships
  • Network with key associations, industry bodies and media
  • Using insight across data and consumer trends to develop campaigns and initiatives that deliver performance
  • Provide insight on the latest hospitality/leisure/food trends
  • Work with new openings teams to ensure support is provided around new openings. 
  • Maintain and be accountable for all timelines / deadlines regarding marketing activity/campaigns.
  • Drive an ongoing implementation plan through digital and PR managing outsourced activities

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience of working on marketing campaigns including project management skills, briefing, planning and execution 
  • Strong organisational and marketing planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once 
  • Sound understanding of digital marketing and ability to manage a digital marketing agency
  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and SEO/PPC campaign management
  • Ability to manage workload and be accountable for achieving results within budget
  • Excellent communicator being able to provide concise and effective instruction both verbally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail and experience of delivering high quality and professional marketing communications, developed both internally and through the use of appropriate agency resources 
  • Acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge 


  • Marketing and Communications experience across hotels, restaurants and/or residential lettings
  • Degree or qualification in relevant subject (eg English Economics, Communications, Marketing, PR)

2. Proven Experience/Education Level

  • Strong experience of Communications/Marketing within hospitality
  • Track record in developing and realising strategic aims across a range of communications and marketing channels
