This highly versatile space is licensed for civil ceremonies and offers bespoke Indian catering making it a sought after venue for Asian weddings and celebrations. The hotel has a selection of spacious and well-appointed guest rooms including the Arch Restaurant and Bar.

We are now looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the fantastic team at the Holiday Inn, Wembley.

Position Purpose:

To provide support to the Kitchen team in ensuring the highest level of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen/food storage areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure highest levels of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen/ food storage areas.
  • To ensure that all areas of the Kitchen including fridges and freezers, dry storage areas and refuse areas, dishwasher, are clean and clear always.
  • To follow appropriate waste disposal methods and ensure wet garbage, recycled waste and general waste are disposed separately.
  • Ensure all cleaning duties of the department as set by the Head Chef are completed and that all floors, kitchen canopy/oil filters and kitchen equipment’s are cleaned regularly as scheduled.
  • To complete and sign off the cleaning schedules as set by the Head Chef.
  • Receive and arrange all departmental deliveries daily and ensure stocks are rotated.
  • Ready to perform flexible shifts as required.
  • Complete all required training (Food Hygiene & Safety, Health & Safety & Fire Safety).

  1.  Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Able to work flexibly to suit the hours (various shift patterns) & needs of the Kitchen
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with team and customers
  • Ability to work and interact well as part of a team
  1.  Proven experience/education level
  • Previous kitchen experience would be an advantage
