People Manager, Hilton London Bankside

The People Manager is responsible for aligning business objectives with all team members and champions the Hilton and SHG vision and values. The People Manager coaches, facilitates and drives all HR related initiatives within the business.

Your role in our family:

Key responsibilities to your role: 

  • Build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders
  • Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to audit standards (Splendid People Audit, Hilton Quality Assurance Audit and Health, Food & Safety Audits)
  • Regular analysis and review of HR metrics, identifying areas for improvement
  • Consult on workforce planning to optimise manning, productivity and standards
  • Provide first line advice and guidance on all HR policies and practices
  • Drive improvement agenda with focus on engagement & welfare, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to managers and building capability 
  • Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs
  • Provide work placements, internships and traineeship opportunities for both current colleagues and locally in the community
  • Ensure training programmes and development opportunities operate at a high standard for guest and leadership experiences, embedding the Hilton culture
  • Manage  recruitment in order to ensure good hiring decisions
  • Drive talent management initiatives through local schools and universities to identify, nurture and develop potential talent to meet future workforce needs
  • Create and maintain an internal communication strategy for colleagues to receive relevant and timely messages in an appropriate style and medium
  • Develop and improve employee surveys and resulting actions, ensuring improvement in the overall engagement score and recommendation rate.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in designing, implementing and executing HR related projects
  • Experience of engagement with Senior Leaders - ability to influence with confidence and credibility.
  • Ability to work with a hands on approach and adapt according to business needs
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent organisational skills
  • Process driven with excellent administrative skills
  • Knowledge of best practice in specific HR areas – emphasis on employment law
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
  • CIPD qualified to level 5 - 7
  • Familiar with Fourth Hospitality
  • Ability to travel if required (within the UK)
