Position Purpose

  •  An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Grand Hotel & Spa to join a dynamic fast paced reservations team responsible for 80% of our hotel room revenue. As a Reservation Assistant, you will be responsible for processing all enquires made by email, phone efficiently and accurately maximising sales, occupancy and ADR to maximise room revenue

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for recording and processing all enquires made by email and phone efficiently and accurately maximising sales, occupancy and ADR to maximise room revenue.
  • To maximise sales and revenue for the hotel by ensuring a sales attitude is adopted at all times and being aware of all sales opportunities with all areas of the hotel and proactively promoting the hotel services and other revenue channels.
  • To respond to all incoming inquiries for individuals and groups, and to provide accurate and detailed quotations in a timely manner.
  • To ensure full and accurate communication with all relevant departments.
  • To maintain accurate filing systems for all correspondence within the department, and ensure all filing is completed daily.
  • To input individual/ Group/Block/ Reservations into Opera reservations system, ensuring all details are accurate and completed in line with the agreed departmental standard.

  • Excellent telephone manner – a smile with every call
  • Approachable attitude and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multi task
  • Being able to communicate effectively and build rapport with guests and fellow colleagues
  • Demonstrates flexibility
  • Previous experience of Opera desirable
