We are currently recruiting for a Bar and Restuarant Manager for our brand new, small but exclusive hotel restaurant located in the heart of Leedscity centre. Food and Beverage experience is essential coupled with sharp presentation skills.

Position Purpose

  • Taking responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the day to day operations of the restaurant and bar, supporting and guiding other managers whilst motivating, coaching and mentoring your team

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering sublime service across all Food and Beverage Outlets
  • Working closely with all department managers ensuring that our operation runs efficiently and smoothly coupled with Duty Management Shifts
  • Responsibility for stock control, health and safety and the  well-being of our team and guests.
  • Ensuring that our guests receive amazing hospitality at all times, that all team members are able to deliver service exceeding guests’ expectations and enhancing the ‘guest experience’ at every opportunity.
  • Additionally, you will have previous experience in management with a sound knowledge of food and drink in a similar operation.
  • Finally, as Bar & Restuarant Manager, you must have excellent communication skills, be a team player and enjoy a hands-on role. You must have passion for hospitality and deliver service with a smile.

Person Specification

1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent people management skills with a proven track record in this area; ability to motivate and stimulate your team to deliver on the required service standards and the financial targets set.
  • You will be able to operate with minimal input from senior management, exercise excellent judgement and decision making and be totally customer service driven.
  • You will possess excellent communication skills, both orally and written and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Must be capable of organising large volumes of work for both yourself and others, able to multi-task, work to tight deadlines when necessary and produce high quality work under pressure. Encourage a healthy team spirit.
  • You will be confident in both when to make a decision, and when to seek further clarification on a decision. You will be confident in making and communicating difficult decisions as well as in handling conflict.
  • A clear self-starter with the ability to demonstrate innovation and drive

2. Proven Experience/Education Level

  • Proven experience in a Management position
  • Proven ospitality experience
  • Personal License
  • Knowledge of operating a hotel restaurant is desirable but not essential.
  • The willingness to learn and drive the business forward is essential
