Groups & Meetings Sales Manager

Position Purpose

The Event Sales Manager  at the Conrad London St James is responsible to commercial success of their groups and events business by understanding the client requirements, proposing the right offer and solutions to the client and confirming the business in the line of the hotel yield strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to & qualify telephone, e-mail and online RFP’s for groups and function space enquiries within the company guideline and Standard Operation Procedures
  • Make verbal quotation in response to enquiries in line with pricing and selling strategy
  • Input booking details and relevant revenue linked with event electronically irrespective of status of booking
  • Using negotiation skill, price an confirm business to meet overall budgeted sales and profit targets
  • Ensure efficient communication within the department and participate in meetings as required.
  • Assist the HG&E and DBD to ensure a collaborative approach to running an efficient office.

Person Specification

1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Delphi, Ideas, Excel and Office, previous experience in similar roles, cooperative attitude to people, organisational skills, proactivity, stress management.


Have knowledge of hotel industry and contacts


2. Proven Experience/Education Level

Preferred previous experience in similar role
