We are looking for a Sales Executive to cover The Holiday Inn Express Gatwick Crawley your role will include but not limited to, building a pipeline, telephone prospecting and driving divisional projects to drive top line revenue for the property and the Splendid Family of hotels.

Position Purpose

  • Plan and execute effective sales activity for the hotels to ensure they deliver consistent and predictable top line results. 

Key Responsibilities

  • To be fully responsible for delivering top line sales budget for hotel
  • Take an extremely proactive approach to generate new business for the hotel and build strong and lasting relationships with existing clients to grow market share.
  • Plan and execute effective sales activities for all segments, working to achieve market segmentation targets.
  • Work with the cluster revenue support to grow market share and deliver RGI targets at all hotels.
  • To deliver growth in key market segments in line with the individual hotels budget and pipeline target.
  • Actively engage with brand sales teams and be a brand ambassador for SHG promoting the wider portfolio.

Person Specification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability of delivering sales strategies with a record of successfully achieving financial targets.
  • Excellent listening, questioning, influencing and account management skills.
  • Strong commercial outlook and ability to deliver predictable top line results.
  • Having strong emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to be bold, say what needs to be said to all levels within the organisation.
  • Consistently uses values to make decisions.
  • The ability to create an environment of open, effective communication both internally and externally.

Proven Experience/Education Level - Desired

  •  At least 1 year in a proactive sales role either from hotel or non hotel background.
  • Airport market experience could be an advantage
