Senior Sales Manager

We are now looking for a Senior Sales Manager to join the Award winning Hilton London Bankside.

Position Purpose

To initiate and drive new business and drive total account management and relationships with key regional and international corporate clients and agents to support the delivery of the departmental budget and objectives. Manage the annual re-contracting and RFP completion on behalf of the hotel in accordance to the set hotel strategy. The ability to plan and execute sales trip when necessary and over achieve the expected ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise comprehensive information to existing and potential customers with regards to the product range and strategic solutions offered by the hotel, with the aid of the relevant sales resources and sales channels.
  • Monitor, analyse and present all sales results alongside implementation of strategic account management plans.
  • Preferred candidate will ideally have experience within the international markets in the designated territory.
  • Researches and helps to identify business opportunities for Hilton London Bankside and reports findings to management accordingly.
  • Supports Director of Sales in drawing up the sales action plan of the respective segments and drawing up of sales targets based on an exact market analysis and with the aim of optimal corporate revenue, group room occupancy and high accommodation revenues.
  • Manages cross-functional links to Hilton Worldwide and Splendid Hospitality, whilst implementing the use of sales techniques / principles as set out in the Hilton loyalty programmes.
  • Plans regular visits to accounts with a minimum of 7 appointments per week.
  • When and if required, actively provide assistance to other departments within Business Development to increase conversion holistically.
  • Coordinate any required administrative work in terms of reporting of figures, account forecasts and drawing up account development plans within the time frame given and the quality expected.
  • Ensures permanent observation of the market and competitors, involvement in drawing up analysis of competitors (rates, trends, customers, product changes) and market statistics, to be shared with the team and all direct and indirect stakeholders.

1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Knowledge of the corporate and consortia market segment.
  • The ability to self-motivate
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • Has advanced skill of Microsoft office.
  • The ability to plan sales and execute successful sales trips with the expected ROI.

  • Knowledge of the North American and/or Asian market.

2. Proven Experience/Education Level


  • A minimum of 3 years pro-active sales experience.


  • A completed degree in Hotel/Hospitality management or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in other companies/hotel departments within the industry.
