Senior Sales Coordinator

We are now looking for a pro-active Senior Sales Coordinator to join our fantastic hotel and friendly team at Mercure Brigstow.

Position Purpose

  • Convert sales enquiries coming to the hotel by different channels (Telephone, emails, Sales platforms) by following the sales, distribution and pricing strategy in place in order to maximise revenue and profit. Work closely with our Sales Manager, Revenue manager and General Manager in order to increase revenue stream from various segments such as Group Business, Group Leisure, Meeting and Events, Social events

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect detailed information from bookers / companies in order to draw up proposals and contract stating Term and condition of booking in line with Company policy
  • Secure business with correct method of payment
  • Provide accurate billing
  • Establish and communicate to other departments detailed functions sheets in order to make sure operation team with provide quality and service to our customers in line with their requirements and expectations
  • Provide information of business on the books in order to review weekly forecast
  • Follow-up companies tracking in order to provide accurate productions from different segments and take corrective actions if needed when re-contracting business for future month
  • Proactively selling the facilities by various techniques and always aiming to exceed customer needs and expectations. 
  • To operate and maintain the system for client events and all related processing, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and timely communicate team and customer information 
  • Ensuring the correct digital representation of the hotel and facilities across various distribution partners

 

Person Specification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Developed commercial sense and creativity
  • Feeling for business development and negotiation.
  • Ability to listen and to deal with people at all levels.
  • Diplomacy and excellent presentation.
  • Mastery of local language and business English.
  • Excellent organisation skills required
  • Exceptional guest service skills which consistently exceed guest’s expectations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work on your own initiative, calmly a and when under pressure
  • Strong & effective communication skill
  • Ability to train and motivate others

Proven Experience/Education Level

  • Have been working previously in hotel environment in Meeting and events sales team
  • Have sounds knowledge and understands the management of Groups reservations
