Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE

Job Description

This role will support the CCO in leading the Governance, Policy and Procedures Board. Working closely with Senior Stakeholders using project management, policy analysis, and governance skills to drive, manage and analyse projects being developed as part of Splendid’s transformation programme, developing and reviewing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. They will attend the executive board meetings and support with co-ordinating the agenda.

Role in our Family

1. Project Management:

  • Plan, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet quality, time, and budget constraints.
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals – link performance to business metrics, budget and business cases
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.

2. Policy and Procedure Development:

  • Research, develop, and implement policies and procedures or work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and feedback to ensure policies and procedures are practical and effective.
  • Develop and execute implementation plan

3. Governance Analysis:

  • Analyse existing governance structures and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness and compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on governance issues, findings, and recommendations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of governance frameworks and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all projects adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Identify and assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with governance standards and regulations.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate project updates, issues, and resolutions to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with stakeholders to gather input and build consensus on governance-related matters.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop and deliver detailed programme analysis and trackers
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to governance and policy issues – ability to link these to financial performance
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to Programme Boards, senior management and the board.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and policy development
