Job Description

As the Indirect Category Manager at Splendid Hospitality Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of indirect spend categories, ensuring optimal sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and cost efficiencies across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in procurement, supplier management, and hospitality industry knowledge.

Role in our Family

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Indirect spend categories, including but not limited to linen and cleaning services and agencies, washroom services, maintenance, waste services, supporting the capital expenditure process and other operational essentials.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within designated categories.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service levels.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and executive leadership, to understand business needs and align procurement initiatives accordingly.
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements, implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure quality and consistency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency. Stay abreast of industry developments, market dynamics, and emerging trends to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
• Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, acting as a primary point of contact and advocating for the organization's interests.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to procurement activities, expenditures, and savings achievements.
• Building buying power by optimising spent across all divisions (Hotel, Care Homes, Quick Service Restaurants)

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within indirect category management.
• Experience within Hospitality industry is essential, preferably with operational background.
• Experience in operating procurement Software (preferably Procure Wizard) and Sourcing Software.
• Proven track record of successfully managing indirect spend categories, negotiating contracts, and achieving cost savings targets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform financial analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• CIPS or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.
